Luke Lowry is a junior member of UHP and a Crown Scholar majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering. Luke was recently selected as one of ten students nationwide to participate in the Fulbright Summer Institute in Glasgow, Scotland. In Glasgow, Luke will study technology, innovation, and creativity at the University of Strathclyde and the Glasgow School of Art.
At UNC Charlotte, Luke works as an undergraduate researcher in the Biomechanical Research Lab, where he uses electromyography to analyze muscular activity in the human body. He has also worked with fellow UHP member and Crown Scholar, Robert Jenkins to start the Biomedical Engineering Society at UNC Charlotte. Luke enjoys traveling and has participated in several international experiences during the past year including an archeological dig in Jerusalem, Israel and and a spring break trip to Iceland.
