James Madison Graduate Fellowships

Funds master’s degree in American history, political science or government and teaching/education master’s degrees with concentrations in those subjects.

On campus deadline: Three weeks prior to the deadline posted online at the James Madison Graduate Fellowships. Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national. Be a teacher, or plan to become a teacher, of American history, American government, or social studies at the secondary school level (grades 7-12). Possess a bachelor's degree or plan to receive a bachelor's degree no later then August 31 of the year in which you are applying. $24,000 maximum, up to $12,000 per year
Special Criteria: 
Plan to teach American history, government, or social studies in grades 7-12 for one year for each year of funding
