Andy Morimoto is Director of Research, Office of the Chairman, at the Paulson Institute. In this role, he manages a wide range of special projects and research activities for the chairman, former Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr., on topics including US-China economic and environmental relations, the American financial system, and the US economy. He additionally supports Secretary Paulson’s leadership of the Aspen Economic Strategy Group. He previously conducted research and analysis on trade and the global economy at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He earned a BA in political science and history from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he participated in the University Honors Program and served as President of Model United Nations. He earned a MA in international relations from the University of Chicago. He lives in Chicago with his wife (also a UNC Charlotte alumna) and two children.
